I have so much movies to share with you, fresh ones, popular ones, forgotten ones and the ones that are lost in the stacks! So, I think im going to make Friday, Movie Love Day! A special day dedicated for movies where ill feature movies that i would die to watch but havent, the ones that i have watched during the week and some movies that people did watch and makes meee want to watch it. I'll snap pictures during the movie so that i can share with you about the fashion or interior highlights or the specific moments that made the movie bombastic. Also, we all can pretend we're watching it together on Friday night! :)
so, the first movie that will launch Movie Love Day is, (drum roll please)... Beyond The Sea!
Eeeeeeek! I really really really want to watch this biographical film based on the life of Bobby Darin. I bought his cds, and now its the perfect time for me to see his life. I saw the poster alone, and liked it. After looking at the screencaps, LOVED IT, and I was pretty much on the web wanting to buy it.
I hope the movie is a true resemblance of how it visually looks like, because if it is, it must be a spectacular movie! I'm sorry movie makers, i know you work hard to make us viewers enjoy a movie as a whole, but i kind of gravitate towards the visual appeal first, and then i move beyond that to the plot. I mean, can you blame me, look at 'em! Kate Bosworth looked like a perfect dream in everything that she wore and styled while playing Sandra Dee.
Not sure if they're a reproduction or actually from the 1960s, but the interior design is so sweet and creamyyy! Sure, there's a slight continuation on designs in the 60s, 7os and 80s, but the set designer really managed to make the house looks like its in the present day and owned by a really cool chick on the hills of Los Angeles, this house and this house would make sweet neighbours! Notice the peach pink curtains and table lamps scattered all over the house, and the sweet sweet application of blue in the kitchen?
yum.

this pink guestroom created by Kelly Wearsler for Domino magazine (R.I.P) had mixed reviews, some say its too 80s, but iiii liked it! come on, have fun a little. Ms Wearstler has been known for her bold choices, and in this case, mixture of patterns and colours makes it so.. dare i say.. groovy! haha
dont you think these patterns would blend right in our 70s theme conversation? i couldnt remember the other two, but the middle print is from anthropologie.

that film looks amazing! I haven't heard of it but with visuals like that I can't miss it, I know what you mean for going for the visual aesthetic before the plot...I'm such a sucker for that gorgeous vintage glamour!
