So, Barcelona happened. It was in February a week after my birthday weekend. Can I tell you(again) how much I love being in the central of Europe?
Shazana, Safwan, and Amira went with me(because they sort of love me) which is one of the reasons why this trip could possibly be my most memorable one yet.
In Spain, there's this tradition called 'siesta', where everyone takes a nap in the afternoon around 2-4pm just to revive themselves. Even the shops would close! So we would take that time to eat in our apartment, have a recap of the day, and take a nap as well(with alarms set on everyone's phone of course). I'm not a day napper myself, but I must admit, it really gives you that extra umph, you guys.
Some of my favourite memories from Barcelona is just being in this apartment with these people. Cooking together, eating together, and just having good conversations. That's all I need.
As a tourist with limited time, you want to cover eeeeverything the city has to offer and you abuse your body by walking endlessly throughout the day. By night time you're so exhausted that you're in no mood to do anything else, which is a waste really.
Look at how fresh and happy we are after we did the siesta! haha We even threw in some gelatos in the mix.
